For hot and cold transfer, a variety of optical security features are available as continuous designs or targeted single images – including TRUSTSEAL®, TRUSTSEAL® SFX, TRUSTSEAL® Lens, TRUSTCOLOR®, and TRUSTCOLOR® Plus. These combine depth effects, color shifts, and motion with high counterfeit protection and strong visual presence.
In digital or hybrid printing, serialized, tamper-proof codes such as our ValiGate® can be directly integrated into your existing workflows. In combination with the SCRIBOS 360 platform, digital interfaces are created for authenticity checks, traceability, and digital brand communication.

Hot stamping
More than just optical enhancement
Hot stamping not only achieves refined effects but also enables real security features to be integrated directly into your existing production line.
Advanced optical security features – such as TRUSTSEAL® – with spatial depth, color-changing, or interactive effects are used. These are visually impressive, tamper-resistant, and intuitively verifiable.
Additionally, with TRUSTSEAL® ID we offer a solution for personalized security via hot stamping: A diffractive security motif combined with a serialized code (e.g., QR code, DataMatrix, EAN, numeric or alphanumeric combinations). This data is already embedded in the stamping foil – your print shop does not require a digital printing unit. Thus, you extend your conventional process with a digital dimension – without investment in new machines.

Cold transfer
Functional security seamlessly integrated
Already using cold transfer? Then you’re well positioned to enhance your finishing process with functional security features and customized decoration – directly in your existing offset or flexo line.
High-quality optical security features like TRUSTSEAL®, TRUSTSEAL® SFX, TRUSTCOLOR®, or TRUSTCOLOR® Plus can also be used here. They offer visual depth, color dynamics, interaction, and spatial effects – providing added value for product protection and brand perception.
For single-image application of our security elements – such as TRUSTSEAL® SFX – the DISTORUN® module comes into play. It can be integrated into your offset or flexo printing line like an additional printing station and precisely controls the foil feed to place each motif exactly in the intended position – with efficient foil usage.

Digital printing
Counterfeit protection printed directly
Our ValiGate® solution incorporates tamper-proof QR codes directly into your existing printing process. Whether digital printing system or conventional press with a digital module: Integration is simple, flexible, and does not require additional machinery. You retain your familiar processes – enhanced with a true security function.
If you use a digital system with dry toner such as HP Indigo, ValiGate® is especially easy to implement. Integration is done via a software plug-in embedded directly into your existing workflow, generating print data in-process.
Alternatively, you have two other options:
- We provide print-ready PDFs with the integrated security codes
- Or you receive the ValiGate® codes as image files (e.g., TIF or PNG), which you can flexibly incorporate using your existing Variable Data Printing (VDP) system
Each code is individually serialized and contains an invisible microstructure. If copied, the microstructure is lost – which can be verified using any standard smartphone.

Hybrid printing systems
Security in the interplay of analog and digital
Even if you work with flexo or offset printing, you can use ValiGate® – provided a digital unit for serialization is available. Proven serialization solutions which integrate seamlessly are offered by MPRINT printing systems.
We provide preconfigured image data of the ValiGate® structure, which is placed as a static element in the layout. Customization is done via your digital add-on module, e.g., with an inkjet bar or even thermal transfer printing.
A special advantage: The resolution of the digital unit does not matter in this process, as copy protection is already built into the ValiGate® image. Even with low resolution, security is preserved. Optionally, serialization can be added later in the production process – e.g., directly at the manufacturer when production-specific data such as manufacturing or expiration dates need to be added (e.g., in pharmaceutical applications).
The result is a personalized, scannable element with QR code and copy protection, uniquely linked to the product, batch, or region – for authenticity checks, traceability, and targeted consumer communication.
