With TRUSTSEAL®, the brand KURZ SCRIBOS offers a patented, unique security technology for marking and authenticating products, packaging, and documents. The holographic security features enable visual authenticity checks, make counterfeits easy to spot, and can optionally be expanded with digital functionality for product authentication.
In this way, TRUSTSEAL® combines effective counterfeit protection with brand-specific design and a solution that can be integrated into existing printing and packaging processes.

Effective Counterfeit Protection for Your Brand
Product counterfeiting, gray market activities, and unauthorized production are increasing worldwide and pose major challenges for companies. They cause economic damage, put consumers at risk, and weaken trust in brands. Conventional packaging and visual features are often no longer sufficient to reliably distinguish original products from counterfeits.
TRUSTSEAL® adds holographic security features to products that enable visual authenticity checks and make deviations visible at a glance. In this way, the technology helps companies protect products effectively, clearly identify originals, and strengthen brand protection throughout the entire supply chain.

TRUSTSEAL®: The Unique Holographic Technology for Visual Authenticity Checks
TRUSTSEAL® is a holographic technology for visual authenticity checks: sophisticated yet easy-to-verify security elements make counterfeits quickly recognizable; optional digital functions can add another layer of security when needed. In this context, authenticity checks means verifying whether a product can be clearly identified as an original based on its security features.
The holographic security features are based on the proprietary OVD technology of the brand KURZ SCRIBOS. This is an optical security technology that creates different visible effects depending on the viewing angle and the incidence of light. These effects serve as a visual reference for authenticity checks and become especially noticeable when the product is tilted or moved.
This enables different user groups—from consumers and customers to partners throughout the supply chain—to quickly and intuitively recognize whether a product is genuine. In this way, TRUSTSEAL® combines a high level of security with a verification method that remains clear, fast, and easy to understand in practical use.
Selected Security Effects of TRUSTSEAL®
To demonstrate the full range of available effects, the TRUSTSEAL® pattern ‘Echoes of the Light’ combines 22 different security features in a large-format holographic master design. The following animations show selected security effects from this pattern in detail. They illustrate how holographic security features look visually and how they contribute to authenticity checks. The examples shown here represent only part of the available security elements, because TRUSTSEAL® offers numerous additional design options that can be implemented individually.
Example TRUSTSEAL® Effects
Diffractive Gold
The TRUSTSEAL® feature Diffractive Gold blends naturally into the design and appears like an elegant gold surface under normal viewing conditions. When it is tilted slightly along the horizontal axis, the color visibly changes and shines in a vivid magenta.
Diffractive Black
Seamlessly integrated into the design, Diffractive Black appears dark from almost every angle. When it is tilted along the horizontal axis and viewed from an oblique angle, the security feature shines in a bright yellow-green.
Diffractive Red
TRUSTSEAL® Diffractive Red is harmoniously integrated into the design and appears red under normal viewing conditions. When it is tilted along the horizontal axis, the color clearly shifts to a bright green.
Diffractive ValiGate®
The ValiGate® feature integrated into TRUSTSEAL® enables encrypted information to be verified directly via smartphone.
Spotlight
This design shows a dynamic security feature that responds to directed light, such as a flashlight. Under point light, the hidden element moves against a dark background when the product is tilted along the horizontal or vertical axis, appearing achromatic and precise.
Surface Relief
This design example shows a non-holographic diffractive security feature with a strong 3D effect. The design element appears dimensional and movable, reflects light with spatial depth, yet remains completely flat.
Grayscale Image
The design element consists of a microscopically small image rasterized in grayscale.
Latent Contrust
When the feature is strongly tilted and rotated by 90°, the contrast between the design element and the background is reversed.

Application on Packaging, Labels, and Documents
TRUSTSEAL® security features are applied directly to packaging, labels, or documents using industrial transfer processes. The application is carried out by hot stamping or cold transfer. In hot stamping, the holographic layer is transferred to the surface using heat and pressure. In cold transfer, it is applied during the printing process using a special adhesive. Both processes are well established in printing and packaging workflows and enable efficient implementation in existing production processes.
TRUSTSEAL® can be used on packaging, labels, and documents and is compatible with a wide range of materials. This makes it possible to integrate the technology into almost any industry and application.

Product Protection Throughout the Supply Chain
TRUSTSEAL® is used in various stages of the value chain—from production and logistics to distribution and the point of sale. The security features enable products to be clearly identified and support verification processes throughout the entire supply chain.
In this way, TRUSTSEAL® helps clearly identify and recognize products, make anomalies visible at an early stage, and sustainably strengthen trust in products and brands.

Customized Design of the Security Features
Every product and every market brings different requirements. TRUSTSEAL® security features are therefore individually adapted to the product, brand, risk environment, and desired security level. The design can be purely visual or supplemented with additional verification tools and digital functions.
This creates a security solution that is not only technically sound, but also tailored to the specific requirements of your authentication strategy.

Digital Authentication as an Additional Security Layer
Optionally, TRUSTSEAL® can be expanded with digital functionality. By integrating a unique identifier, TRUSTSEAL® ID creates an additional digital security layer that complements visual authenticity checks and expands the possibilities of product authentication.
This enables TRUSTSEAL® ID to give different user groups—from customers and consumers to partners throughout the supply chain—clear product identification and verification via smartphone, even without an app. The authentication data generated in the process is made available to the brand owner in SCRIBOS 360 in real time, enabling more detailed insights into counterfeiting, gray market activity, and overproduction.
Professional Product Protection and Sustainable Brand Protection
TRUSTSEAL® makes product counterfeiting more difficult, makes tampering with products and packaging visible, and helps clearly identify original products. In combination with digital functionality, the technology also enables data-based product authentication and creates transparency around where and how products are verified and where anomalies occur.
In this way, TRUSTSEAL® helps companies reliably protect products, make authenticity traceable, and sustainably secure brands.
