As one of the world’s largest seed producers, KWS distributes high-value agricultural products to more than 70 countries. To safeguard product integrity and reinforce trusted dealer relationships, the company relies on a solution from the KURZ SCRIBOS brand that combines physical product security with real-time digital intelligence. The system ensures product authenticity, detects gray market activity, and links protection with data-driven dealer incentives.
The challenge
KWS faced two critical challenges. Seeds are difficult to authenticate and are often targeted by counterfeiters. At the same time, the company uses a reward-based model to encourage dealers to sell within assigned territories. Without clear tracking and verification tools, both goals were difficult to manage. KWS needed a solution that could confirm product authenticity, monitor distribution channels, and connect delivery data to its incentive program across a complex international supply chain.
Our solution

KWS implemented a customized system combining VeoMark® security labels, RFID transponders, and the SCRIBOS 360 digital platform. Each seed bag is equipped with a serialized VeoMark® label and RFID tag. Before delivery, seed bags pass through RFID gates where they are digitally linked to the corresponding order data stored in SCRIBOS 360. This process ensures full traceability and verifies authenticity before goods leave the warehouse.
SCRIBOS 360 serves as the central platform connecting physical product protection with digital insight and incentive management. The Authentication & Analysis module allows easy verification of each product. Scan data and movement tracking provide transparency and help detect gray market activity or suspicious delivery routes. Verified deliveries are also used to support KWS’s reward program by linking accurate order and delivery data with dealer incentives. This ensures that partners comply with sales zones while remaining motivated through performance-based rewards.

The SCRIBOS 360 digital platform makes it easy to protect our products while linking that protection to dealer incentives. It gives us clarity across markets and full control over our supply chain.
